It's been a busy day in camp

Today has been a busy day of chores in camp. Chores? Yes, chores.
Because we are at a park where the sites don't have sewer hookups, and we are staying longer than a weekend, our gray and black waste water holding tanks need to be emptied during our stay. I do this using a portable waste water holding tank to offload the camper's tanks into. Then, I tow the portable tank behind the truck up to the dump station and empty it. Today, I did this three times: once for the kitchen tank, once for the shower tank, and once for the toilet (ooh, gross) tank.
I did it tank by tank because the three tanks together hold more than the portable tank.
After finishing that task, I disconnected the empty propane bottle and took it to a propane filling station. While some of the better commercial parks have filling stations on the grounds, none of the state parks we've stayed at do. The closest was an Ace Hardware about 9 miles away. While out and about, I also filled up the truck so we have enough fuel to get home on Sunday.
When I got back and hooked up the tank, it was time for lunch - leftover taco meat with tortilla chips and salsa con queso.
It was time for the dog's mid-day walk after lunch. Ace gets a short walk, just far enough to get his business done before coming back to the camper. Sophie and I walked down to the lake. The level is down due to the release of water through the dam early today. There were also boats and kayaks on the lake, which made me wish K wasn't at the office today for 2 reasons. Since she was working, she couldn't go kayaking with me and, more importantly, both our inflatable kayaks are in the trunk of her car, so I couldn't go alone.
Sophie and I are back in the camper now, both too tired to do much but rest for a while. My shoulders, back, and hips are complaining about all the bending and lifting I did this morning. My feet are complaining about all the walking I've been doing this week. They better get used to it. There's lots more camping and walking to come this year.
How is your day progressing thus far?

Even on vacation, the work never stops. It's just different work.

DW..how long are you staying at this campground?
Like next time have one with the sewer hook ups? No? I dunno.
Wish you could get a break from all that.

@DWDavis Okay well, then at least some others will have hook ups where you can relax a bit more. But I don't like to think of you in pain at all.

@RebeccasFarm I appreciate the sentiment. The discomfort is something I've learned to live with.

Not much today, but over the weekend I have been extending my walks to get ready for the summer. I need to straighten out my front wheel, on the touring bike, and get the expedition bike to the shop for a major refit and general tune up

@DWDavis I am holding off on an eBike, for the while. I will doubtless get one in a few years as I need the extra power. One of the cyclists I follow on YouTube, Juliet Elliot has a done a video about an electric MTB. She seems to like it and is a bit younger than me!

Wednesday was a normal day. We went swimming as a class. Kids are starting up on their field trips. Weather is lovely. I am working outdoors a little. My body is taking note of the extra activity.

I am enjoying my day working at home sharing good news stories here and completing surveys on Branded Surveys.

It sounds like you've had a busy day. It takes time and effort to handle the chores at the campsite. Disposal of grey and black water collection boxes can ensure the hygiene and cleanliness of the campsite environment and reduce pollution to the environment. As a responsible camper, this is very important
