Covid and street food

A lot of people have stopped eating street food since the pandemic. Some people have never been having it and others are scared to start again. For two years I had completely stopped eating out and then because I am at home I prefer making things that I want to eat. Has the pandemic changed your eating habits or lifestyle in any way?

Oh, yeah, Pretty and I don't eat out since the pandemic started. We're high risk for Covid and don't want to find out if we'll survive catching it.

If you are not comfortable its best not to eat out and then start getting worried about the consequences.

@DaddyEvil We should only do what we are comfortable with. There is no need to follow others and be stupid just because others are.

@mayka123 That's what we keep saying. Others keep telling us to stop being afraid because nothing will happen. Nothing will happen to them but that doesn't mean nothing will happen to us.

Yes, it did, Up to now, people are still wearing masks wherever they go. Many also avoid crowded places, such as cinemas, etc.

Not really I am just more cautious of crowds but here the food places have always been suspect..germs and unhygienic people handling food.

When it comes to street food we realize that hygiene is not always there. There is no proper water supply so cleanliness is not given much importance there.

Like me. I too have not completely stopped. My eating out has lessened more because I am now at home all day and I prefer home-cooked food. While working I was eating out sometimes.

Thats a good habit. I too prefer making my own food. But sometimes when I was working and too tired to cook I would occasionally eat out.

No, it hasn't really changed our eating habits. One being food isn't the cause of the virus and eating out or it doesn't change that. You're more likely to get sick because of you picking up a germ that goes brushed on your clothes than you are from food. Yes, surfaces in places could have if they are not cleaned frequently.

During the pandemic we stopped eating out including street foods. Rarely do we do food deliveries also. Almost every thing is cooked at home. Now that it has eased out we are slowly eating out again and doing deliveries occasionally.

I lost 5 kilos during the pandemic because I stopped eating out but after everything returned to normal I went back to eating out as usual
