It's a good thing I answered the phone

So, out of the blue this afternoon I get a call from Massachusetts. I almost thought OK, I don't even know anyone in Ma and why would they be calling me. Out of curiousity even though I thought it could be a scammer I answered, it was actually the Digital Reflection Panel who have never called me before reminding me to do an update. I am glad they did, because I didn't know one was due, it only takes like 3 minutes and is worth 5 bucks...so I was happy to get that Massachusetts call. Have you gotten a call you thought might not be legit, and it turned out to be? I know it is usually the other way around..

That was a profitable call. I usually let unknown numbers go to voicemail.

@snowy22315 - I never check mine, but if people call the landline there is an answering machine, I check that one.

Often i received strange calls, but i usually refused the calls. There were too many deceptive call from scammers.telecommunication fraud is widespread in this country. However once i answered a strange call,it turns out one ex colleague called me about sth. That colleague was persistent in calling me repeatedly,so i answered the call.If a number repeatedly call you.you should pick up phone.A scammer wont be so patient.

Some scammers call repeatedly too. However, if you don't engage with them or tell them to get loxt, they will go away.

@snowy22315 ,once you pick up phone, the scammer will manage to trap and cheat you out of money,so mostly i don't answer the call. This is safest solution.

Yes, a bank calling is kind of scary...but generally here they call from a local exchange. My current bank never calls me, but the one I had before was a pest like that.

I have on occasion. In your case I would have saved that number so I would know the next time. Sounds like a good deal.

@snowy22315 That is true. Especially from crank calls coming from the Internal Revenue Service making threats that the police will come and arrest me for not paying my taxes.

Yes, I have several times. One was my doctors office and another was my granddaughter who was using another phone. I get so many spam calls that I don’t answer. I’ve probably missed more calls than I know.

No, I've never experienced this. When a call from an unknown number reflects on my phone I ignore it. Unless, he/she texts me and identify himself/herself.
