I downloaded an app in Google Play to track my sleep at night. I'm not sure if the app can really track my sleep. I want to know if it can really can. But how can the app do that or maybe it is just making their guess ? I feel I have slept last night and when I wake up it said it takes me 30 minutes plus before I fall asleep and I have slept for 6 hours. It also tell me that I have a long time before I fall asleep which is accurate. Have you tried sleep tracking apps? How do they work? It's amazing

A sleep tracking app uses the microphone on your phone to listen for your rate of breathing and the noises you make while you sleep to gauge when you fall asleep and how long you sleep.

So you must sleep with your earphones on? Or how is it done?

@Laurakemunto No. The phone just needs to be near you while you sleep. Most people in the US have their phone on a table beside their bed. The phone can clearly hear the person as they breath and any sounds of movement while the person sleeps. I would think people in other countries keep their phone close to them while they sleep, too, but I can't prove that's true.

Thank you for the explanation. I will try again tonight and see if it is really working. If they can it is really helpful since I don't need to ask other in the morning if I fall asleep

I was able to test one out, and it even kept track of when I began snoring and when it ended. Simply said, I believe it uses more battery as your phone will constantly be on alert while you sleep, thereby draining the battery.

@averygirl72 Mine was trial only so after some time they were charging me a fee so I discontinued using it as I think I do not need the app anymore.

Yeah that's true. It also tell me to charge my phone all through the night but I don't follow it. It records clips of the sound it capture during the night

@rsa101 I don't think it is really accurate though it is nice that they record sounds when you fall asleep

In some ways, it can. But the results are not always accurate. I rely more on the timer, alarm, world clock, and stopwatch. I know these are different apps, but with these apps, I am certain the results are accurate.

I can't say if those sleep track apps really work or if they're accurate or what, as I have not tried it myself. As of the moment, I'm not interested to try it.
