Possession by evil spirits?

Possession by evil spirits and or Demonic possessions? Demonic possession, in supernatural belief systems, is a form of spiritual possession whereby certain malevolent extra-dimensional entities, demons, gain control over a mortal person's body, which is then used for an evil or destructive purpose. Unlike in channelling or other benign forms of possession, the subject has no control over the possessing entity and so it will persist until forced to leave the victim, usually through a form of exorcism. Many cultures and religions contain some concept of demonic possession, but the details vary considerably. Some cultures, in particular the Roma people also believe that demons can also possess animals, plants, deceased persons or inanimate objects. Now I personally Don't think anything like this ever happens. But I have always heard people telling this happening to their relatives close freinds. I Want to do some research and probally find out if this actually does happen or its just diseases like Schziphrenia, epilepsy, paranoia, postpartum psychosis and or postpartum depression because all these diseases and many other like these are just physcological disorders but are often mistaken as demonic possession or evil possession? But is it always a disease or evil spirits do exit and do take possession of people?

possession is fun. i think i am possessed by my mom. however, to be on topic: i think that possession is false, and that it is just an excuse to be found innocent of a crime the person knowingly committed. although teh insanity plea used to work, it has really fallen thru now.....

I believe there are cases of possession as well as mental illness. The Bible speaks of it often. There has been a few documented cases of it.

i believe it's all psychological. you yourself said our mind plays tricks on us, it does. and usually it is our doing and our subconscious does the reacting. and when our subconscious being tries to have its way, it presents itself in somatic manifestations, through our body. and when it does, we say that person is posessed. i am not very well-versed on these issues but i know something about mental health because i was a medical student.

NOBODY CAN SAY WHETHER ANYTHING OF THIS TYPE HAPPENS OR NOT EXCEPT PEOPLE WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED IT THEMSELVES.SOME SAY ITS SOME TYPE OF PHYSCOLOGICAL DISESASE,SOME BELIEVE IN IT WHILE OTHERS SIMPLY DONT BELIEVE AND MAKE FUN OF IT.THE PERSON WHO HAVE WITNESSED THIS TYPE OF THINGS WILL KNOW THE REALITY BETTER THAN OTHERS.BUT WHATEVER IT IS ,IT SEEMS TO BE VERY DANGEROUS.

You seem to be thinking in thr right direction. Supernatural-whether good or bad/evil simply does not exist. As you thought physicological disorders are often mistaken as demonic possession.
