Is it ice cream or smoothie?

I should have cooked a bit longer for the corn flour - the stabilizer - to help harden the ice cream. Impatience is my middle name and that is proved because the ice cream has not hardened.
Many add eggs but this recipe suggested corn flour. I know it is my fault. Also I had not adjusted the freezing temperature in the fridge which is supposed to be kept at less than -18C. Some use ice cream machines but since I make it once in a way never felt the need to go for a machine. .
Lesson learnt. What stabilizer do you add?

I don`t know how to make a good creamy ice cream I just make smoothies better

I read through a few tips on he Net and now I know how to set about making a good ice cream without buying a machine and without having to adjust the temperature in the fridge. I must properly cook the corn flour and churn vigorously. I will now drink the smoothie and once it is over will attempt making ice cream again (lol)

I love both. Something creamy and frothy and icy that is. I can make smoothies but not ice cream so I just buy ice cream to the grocery store. I like strawberry flavor and cheese.

I think we use cassava flour or cassava starch to get the texture of ice cream

I dont make these ones. No stabilizers.
Unless a banana may be thickening agent.

It has to not only harden but there should be no crystals formed I know what went wrong with my method.

@allknowing - If the freezer is not cold enough, it does not freeze.

I have never attempted to make icecream at home. This does look more like a smoothie. But then anything with mangoes are delicious!! Enjoy!!

Mine is still in the boxes but will taste like a smoothie. It tastes good though
