Two seven week old eaglets who were trapped in a fishing line in the Dale Hollow Lake Marina in Byrdstown Tennessee on Wednesday by teamwork of Tennessee Wildlife, American Eagle Foundation, Nashville Corps, the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency and the U S Wildlife Service were able to rescue the eaglets. One of the eaglets who was entangled in the fishing line was taken by the American Eagle Foundation agent to the University of Tennesse veterinary clinic where the eaglet will be examined by the veterinarians. The exam of the injured eaglet will be determined if he can be released into his home in about one week. The second eaglet was freed from the entanglement and the eaglet is remaining in his nest. Since the mother of the eaglet could not rescue the eaglet, the agents came to the rescue of the eaglets. I can hope that the injured eaglet does make a full recovery soon. I also hope that the eaglet gets cured and be able to fly again with his relatives.

Be kind to animals. May the rescuers' tribe increase. It's good that there are people taking care of that species of animals/birds that still remain.

It is a pity that reservoirs cannot be taken care as they should. I suppose fish lines had nothing to do with it.

I hope they will be able to help the eaglet to survive. I was unable to access the link you provided so were they bald eagles?
