Customer is always right?

My sister is a home baker and she gets orders for cakes for all occasions- birthday, weddings, anniversaries, baptisms, baby gender reveals. Her customers are awesome but not all. Yesterday, she was so stressed with a client who said she wanted a cake for her anniversary and that her budget was this much but she wanted a big cake with all the trimmings. How can she give her what she wants when the budget is limited? Which reminds me of the photo above. What do you think of yourself as a customer?

The customer should know that too if she can't give enough budget for, she should not demand much

That photo is a great way to show how one may do it. I am not a hard-to-satisfy customer. I am reasonable just as the seller should be too. I am also considerate about how I could help the seller earn her share fairly.

I would be telling the customer that it isn't possible to have all the trimmings unless she is prepared to pay for it. Love the wooden staircase head or whatever you call it.

A customer needs to be realistic. Your sister will have to cut some corners but I am sure her quality will still be great. Your photo is funny.

As a customer, I am never wrong! Haha Truthfully, I have worked in retail before and I know how rude and demanding customers can be. So, because of that, I always try my hardest to not be that type of customer.

Its up to your sister to explain that to her client. You get what you pay for. Its as simple as that. So don't expect a grandiose cake if you could only pay little. Otherwise, find a cheap bakeshop lol.

Whatever is agreed on it must be followed. I understand the predicament of supplier because I'm also one and I am also a customer. If it's already beyond bounce them supplier. can always turn down.

I have worked with clients, so I know how it goes . . . I like to think I am the reasonable customer. I would make a big cake for that lady, but it might not be edible .

cute photo. My great-aunt was a baker too. She made cakes as a hobby job. She would make me a cake for my birthday for many years. I don't think she ever turned anyone down. I would tell that customer that she needs to find another baker or another design.
