How I spent my weekend 4/28/23 - 4/30/23

The night before the baby wasn’t feeling well and fell asleep on my lap around 7:30. She slept through the night for 12 hours.
So then Friday she was rearing to go and didn’t nap until 4pm. That made it easier for me to prepare dinner though.
I had so many phone calls to make (9 calls) that I was on the phone for 2 straight hours. I hate being on the phone! Then I had to pick up a paper at the doctors office and drop off tickets and money to the school that was due.
Saturday my husband and stepson went Turkey hunting with a friend. They got up at 4am and came home earlier than I expected at 9am. They didn’t see any turkeys and it was raining hard and windy. The friend wasn’t dressed warm enough so he was shaking and chilled to the bone.
I had hoped after not getting any time to relax Friday or Saturday to be able to relax a bit on Sunday but nope.
Sunday my stepson and husband went fishing on their boat. They were gone for many hours. The baby wasn’t feeling well (we have all come down with colds) and did not want me to put her down.
I didn’t realize my husband wasn’t going to be home when I told my son I’d make something for breakfast, healthy strawberry oatmeal bars. It wound up taking 4 hours with having to tend to her when it should have only taken an hour.
My son was very helpful offering to do things like change her diaper and take her to play and cut up the strawberries etc but the baby just wanted me. I was able to get her in a wrap and to sleep in it so I could get a little done. I haven’t had to put her in a wrap since she was very small so I had a hard time figuring it out. I need to YouTube it
I took the baby in the cellar with me to get some whole wheat flour out and she moved faster than I could and dumped a little bowl of fuel oil on the cement floor and on her foot. I had to throw out her pajamas and pour cat litter over the oil on the floor. I had asked my husband three times since he put it in that bowl to take it out and put it back in the tank and he hadn’t so I was pretty irked.
Well it’s a new week now and hopefully things go well for me and you all here at myLot!
Photo is completely unrelated but I wanted to share some of the pretty daffodils I’ve seen the past few weeks. I saw one more that was white with a yellow center but haven’t been able to get a photo of it.

Love your flower pics..You may want to tell your husband you don't feel important or listened to when you ask him repeatedly to do something and he doesn't. Ask him if that is the message he wants to send?

@snowy22315 I assume he just doesn’t want to go do it then and intends to do it later then forgets. The same thing today with the water filter. I’ve mentioned for days it needs to be changed. I messaged him at work to tell him the washing machine messed up again (which is due to the water filter being overdue to be changed) and asked hjm to do it after work. But then he asked me what I was making for dinner and I said I had a raging headache and he offered to make dinner. Then he was going to take the dogs out for a run in the game lands and I begged him to change the filter before he left so I could finish the laundry from this morning. I do 3-4 loads a day I can’t keep up if I only get one done which is all I was able to do today

@snowy22315 I have a horrible memory so I feel it would be unfair not to give him the benefit of the doubt on forgetting. He did change the filter yep 
. My son asked me if it was anything he could do but I said it would probably be too hard as the valve is very hard even for my husband to do . The water suctions the lid on very tight.

@shaggin How convenient to forget...I got spanked for that when I when I was a kid because I conveniently "forgot" to do the chores my mom asked me to do when she was at work. If you want to resolve things you can't make excuses for him. Did he change the filter? It was nice of him to make dinner though...I will give you that.

@sallypup she just fell asleep on my lap a little bit ago. Haven’t had time to nap and don’t think I’ll have time for one tomorrow either. We have a wic appointment to go to and then I’ll have to get dinner ready after that. I’m beat. Waiting for the wash to get done so I can toss it in the dryer and go to bed. I figure by 12:30 it should be done.
I wanted to do all the daffodils I had seen together in one collage but I wasn’t able to get a photo of the other ones and don’t think I will be able to they are all dying now .

I hope your baby feels better soon and this week proves to be more relaxing. It is so great that your husband takes his son hunting and fishing. They are good sports to engage in, and that father/son time is essential.

Beautiful flowers. I pray the baby is doing well and her foot is okay. These small things when compounded could irk me as well. That's the difficulties and wonders of tending to babies. Our baby is now throwing tantrums and knows how to attract attention. He would walk-crawl into the living room from the bedroom.

@kaylachan the washing machine keeps acting up due to the whole house water filter needing to be changed. That’s added stress when I’m pressed for time and have so much laundry to keep up with. It’s all taken care of now and I’m doing laundry so that should help relieve some stress and increase my productivity

@wolfgirl569 thank you. The baby and my oldest daughter seen the least sick. I’m thankful for that. My husband has a runny nose driving him nuts. My stepson coughs now and then and has been using cough drops. My throat is scratchy and I feel icky but otherwise not bad. Hopefully it all passes soon.

@RebeccasFarm my son is such a wonderful kid. So thoughtful and always offering to help me like tonight he asked if changing the water filter was anything he could do but it would have been to hard for him.
Him not listening as usual yeah sounds about right. I talk a lot he says and he tends to tune me out. He talks a lot too when it’s always something he wants to talk about he just doesn’t realize it .

@Tampa_girl7 yes thank god it wasn’t worse. If it has been she could have wound up in the emergency room. She just cannot go down there again if she don’t staying on my arms. Too dangerousZ.
