I'm Always More Tired On A Rainy Day

Happy Tuesday Everyone! another soggy rainy day here today. Looks like tomorrow will be a repeat of today and then hopefully we'll have nicer weather by the end of the week.
Yesterday was my Uncles 91st birthday. I called and wished him a Happy Birthday and we had a nice chat. I don't often get to chat with my Uncle as I normally catch up with Aunt and get all the family happenings. I was quite surprised that my Uncle was as chatty as he was. Normally he's a man of few words. My Uncle is my moms younger brother and when I was growing up he was in the Navy. He would come and stay at our house when he was on leave so I grew up pretty close to him. During our conversation yesterday we reminisced somewhat about the good old days. It's really nice to have such good memories.
May brings along more birthdays in my family.
My grandson and two of my daughters. It's a busy month in our family.
Besides birthdays my grandson will be going to his senior prom and then off to
Germany with his high school jazz band.
May is always a busy month for us.
But, today is quiet and I'm not complaining. Perfect for curling up with a good book.

What a nice birthday wish you gave to him, he must have really enjoyed it to converse for so long.
That is nice recalling fonder times together.
Your grandson has alot going on between his birthday, prom and his trip overseas. Lucky kid.
I'm normally pretty laid back on a rainy day, like today too, but there was an email that went out yesterday after I finished work that perked me up today. It listed me (yes l'il ole me) as one of the top 5 in the London office for have the best survey scores. Those are the surveys that people get in an email after an interaction on the phone, apparently my scores are high. It is just good to hear that your work is making a difference and appreciated, that made me feel good.

I was happy about the survey scores, but wish that they would keep us updated along the way as news like that goes a long way instead of waiting until the end of the quarter. But I still will take the compliment.

My uncle is my last living uncle (my moms brother). My mom started a tradition that when it was someones birthday she would call and sing the Happy Birthday song. Didn't matter if the person was young or old. As time went on everyone looked forward to that special birthday call. So, when I called my uncle I sang to him and that's what got us off on reminiscing and of course how much we miss my mom.
My grandson is the epitome of busy these days. The school year is winding dow and after his graduation in June he'll be heading off to college in August.
Congratulations to you!!!!!! that's quite a feather in your cap to get such high survey scores. I know how important those scores are. My son in law works at a Kia dealership and they count on those surveys. I'm sure you were smiling large to hear that you were top 5

It's another day of rain here today. It's getting depressing but at least we aren't getting downpours or flooding. I"m sure the flowers are happy

It sounds like you have a lot happening in your neck of the woods.
Rain can be very soothing, especially when I can hear it patter on the roof, etc. A book, a rainy day, and a nap--sounds like a good time to me! Enjoy your day!

May is always a busy month along with July. Lots of birthdays etc. This year we have graduations to add to the festivities.
I don't mind a rainy day but we've had rain on and off since Friday. I need the sun!!!

He's the only uncle I have left so I treasure the times when we're able to chat. I haven't seen him in quite a few years since he lives in Massachusetts and I'm in Pennsylvania.

Glad you got to talk to your uncle. I don't get to talk to mine that often, but my Aunt his wife texts me or sends nice greetings every so often.

It was really nice having a conversation with my uncle. Usually my aunt fills me in on what's happening with them and their family and we chat fairly often.
