Finally have AC

I was away for quite sometime because I got busy with the AC installation in my house. The heat beat me, huhu. Despite the five electric fans in my house, it still isn’t enough with the stifling heat we are all experiencing right now. My sister said I’d be shocked with the electric bill, and now I’m starting to regret my decision. Lol Just kidding. I invested in an inverter AC type because according to my research, it’s by far the most energy efficient. I hope it really does perform. Lol to the photo above. How old is your AC?

We have what is called a "heat pump" that heats and cools. I'm not sure how efficient it is really, but it works well for us. But when the temps get to 30C or more, it is hard to stay cool.

The "heat pump" is the best system James. I regret we did not install this when we bought the house.

I have that situation here too. Plus the unit is old, so it really isn't that efficient. Thank God for ceiling fans, and tower fans. They help alot.

I live in an apartment, and I found out that my air conditioner broke a few months ago. It took maintenance three weeks to get it fixed, and some days were unbearably hot, but thankfully, it is fixed now.

I think you wrote about that here before but three weeks waiting time is such a slow service

Perhaps, 3 years? I don't remember. But without our AC, I would die of heat stroke. It's like being under the scorching sun. Now, I am comfortable and could sleep well anytime of the day in my room.

Lucky you, you know how AC is much of a luxury here than a necessity

How old is your AC? We do not have (and we do not need) the AC here. I have a fan in the "computer room" and a fan in the bedroom that I turn on should the cool air from the outside not be enough.

@sol_cee Today the temperature will reach 29º C for a couple of hours, but right now (6:30 a.m.) it is 16º C. I have all the windows open, it's a lot better than AC.

We've only needed to turn the AC on twice so far this year. When the temp got hotter than 26.6C outside, then out house got too hot inside so Pretty turned the AC on for a few hours. After it got dark outside, she turned it off again and the house stayed cool after that. We have a Trane central heat and cooling that was already here when we moved in 5 years ago. We don't know how old the system is. It had to be serviced last year or two years ago. I'm not sure which.

@sol_cee I turn it on every day when I wake up and my room is too warm. Pretty turns it off again when she gets cold.

The outdoor air conditioner doesn't want to rotate, so every time we want to turn on the AC, the electricity always turns off. How old is your AC? This is the air conditioner that my older sister bestowed on me and it's been about 10 years and yet we just need a fan.

I'm not sure, really. It was here before we moved in and got the house, but it's doing the job. I'm thankful for it.
