Once you become a parent nothing is gross anymore

I grew up being eeky on poop and pee, I paid teenagers to walk my dog because I do not want to see poop. Now I change diapers and I had been peed on and pooped on and puked on by my baby. If this was myself 5 years ago I will be freaked out and grossed now. Now I am desensitized. I now walk the dogs and pick up the poo with a bag.. I don't know how deep my tolerance my grossness will be. I know some parents eats the leftovers of their kids.

I am sure it was hard in the beginning. My niece went through your same experience.

I originally wanted to hire babysitters but my wife refused because she said the baby will love the babysitter and not us.

@CaptAlbertWhisker Your wife is right, the baby needs to be with you and to know that you love him.

Ah, the baby has come - congratulations! Welcome to parenthood . You're finding that what you used to think was gross is well, just a part of life . . . not a big deal when you face it every day (maybe all day ). You're doing it for the love of your child .

@CaptAlbertWhisker Think of it as temporary . One day you will look back on this and be like us in "remembering the days/nights when . . . ". The whole pee/poop/puke thing will be just a memory .

It is surprising what you can do when you have to. How old is your baby?

I once had a cat, and I cleaned up the poop it pulled in the litter. I felt okay and didn't feel nauseous to me
