Don't get hung up on one source of income.

Hi guys, good morning.
Come back with me, I hope you don't get bored reading and responding to my writing. The problem is that I like to write to get rid of the idea that are in my head, which always force me to get out.
I saw a successful businessman, he has many sources of income. So if one source of income has a problem, then he still has another source of income.
So, it's important for us, whatever our profession, try to always open other sources of income, don't get fixated on one source of income.
While I'm running an online store, I'm also active in several other paid forums as an additional source of income. Even though I haven't become rich so far, at least I've tried my best.
What do you think about it?

I don't get sufficient time after my job so I can do anything else besides my job. Yes it's always better to have two sources of income. I still engage myself in the share market and have earned a bit because I am stil in the learning phase there.

@astutimeliana723 No I don't have enough money. My earnings are small and are only able to satisfy the needs of my family.

That's good, everything needs to learn. Good luck my friend. If you have more money, you can set it aside for investing in gold, it doesn't require time-consuming management.

I think while it is nice to have more than one income source, most serious careers only allow time for one job. If you can find time for more, that's great! But you also don't want to spread yourself too thin by making money your number one priority. What you have going though sounds just right for what you want. And if makes you a happy individual, then I would support it!

Of course so far I'm happy with what I'm doing. Because I run my own business, no one pressures or controls me. LOL

@AmbiePam Thank you.
But I always put my online store ahead of all the paid forums I join.
How about you?

Main reason why I'm getting a 2nd job. More sources of income, the better.
A regular millionaire has at least 7 sources of income.

Some real-life jobs won't allow you to have additional sources of income. That's the way Walmart always was... If they find out you are working somewhere besides Walmart, then they cut your hours or lay you off until you stop the extra source of income. Other real-life places do the same thing.

@astutimeliana723 In my country, it is okay to work as many hours and for as many different companies as you want. Some companies don't agree with that so you either work just for their company or find another job.
It's illegal for Americans to purchase gold except as jewelry. As jewelry, gold is MUCH more expensive than you'd pay in the market for plain gold bricks.

@DaddyEvil Oh I just found out about that. Does that mean that in America you are not allowed to buy gold bars for investment?

What a pity.
In my country it's okay as long as it doesn't interfere with the main job. It's just that if the main job is sufficient, let alone high-paying, it's better to set aside income for investment. Investing in gold is an easy way for people who can't do a side job other than the main job.

as long as it doesn't interfere with the main source of income and the main job doesn't prohibit generating additional income, why not? Additional income can be passive income.

In today's world, it is in fact becoming very vital to look for different income sources.
Some could be high earning, some could be not so high earning.
Yet diversification is very important these days.

The challenge is to have a second or third source that gives us sufficient amount to take us through for our whole life.
Best way is to get additional skills but with a Full time job, that can be another challenge.

Yes, you are right because it is very risky if you only depend on one source of income. If there is a problem then we will be confused to find another source of income.

I tried to tell that to one girl who I was friends with on facebook. She was a friend of a friend so I didn't know her in high school. She did go to my high school. Anyway she was doing a fitness MLM (mult level marketing) job called Beach Body. I was into fitness, and she asked me to join. I had my mother really look into the company and I really looked into it. I didn't join and I'm really glad I didn't. But later I told her that she needs to look into another job in case Beach Body goes away. She unfriended me. Now I think she doesn't do the job anymore.

There is also work with the MLM system here, I don't like it. Because we have to look for members as downline.

It's great to see your determination to explore multiple sources of income and not rely on just one. Diversifying your income streams can provide stability and open up new opportunities. Keep up the hard work and continuous efforts, and success will follow. Best of luck on your journey!
As for me, I'm really excited about my under-construction website! It's a question and answer platform where users can earn incentives for their active participation. What makes it even more interesting is that the points they accumulate can be redeemed in various ways, tailored to their geographical location. I can't wait to see how this unique concept encourages user engagement and creates a vibrant community of knowledge sharing.

Does that mean you're currently trying to build a paid site too? Wow amazing. Good luck. So far I haven't thought in that direction, because I don't have the skills and knowledge yet.
