Book Review: The Dangerous One by Lori Foster

Hunter tries to keep his distance, but when Jodi's life is threatened, he can't help being drawn out of hs own darkness and into hers. ~~~~ I could only give this 4 stars on Goodreads but in reality I'm giving it 4.5. I am taking a half a star away for the very long chapters. Though the scenes did flow, the long chapters made it hard for me to read the book faster. This story had intrigue, it had romance, it had excitement, it had mystery and it was intense. And it had some steam. Can't leave that out. Lori Foster is known for her steamy romances but I am just loving her romantic suspense novels. So well written, great story. Note that though this is the beginning of a new series, The Osborn Brothers, the female lead comes from Lori Foster's previous series, The McKenzies of Ridge Trail. But you definitely do not have to read the McKenzies first. I am looking forward to more in The Osborn Brothers series. Highly recommend.
