They really burned our buns

Quite literally. Hot dog buns that is.
K grilled hot dogs for dinner on our panini make/indoor grill. We normally would have grilled outside, but the weather was iffy and better safe than wet.
She opened the hot dog rolls and found these two beauties in the middle of the top row. The bottom row was also overdone, as were the two outside buns on the top, but not nearly to the extent of these two.
K intends to send a politely worded letter to the bakery that produced these two overbaked buns to let them know someone in quality control wasn't paying enough attention. I wonder what type of response she'll receive.
Have you ever opened a package of baked goods to discover they'd spent too long in the oven?

This has never happened to me and I am surprised that these buns even got packaged and were sold,

That is way over cooked. I would be letting them know too. They should refund your money

I've never seen a burned bun in a package. K should definitely write to the bakery. They may have a website where you can do that.

No, never have. I think if something was overcooked like that where we shop they would send it to the discount rack.

That's never happened to me, although I do like the hot dog itself burned. But not the bun.

I've never had quite the same experience, but I do recall a time when I accidentally added black pepper instead of cardamoms to my tea. And you won't believe it, but it was my older brother who took the first sip and nearly spit it out! Talk about a spicy surprise in his cup!
