Last Day of a Holiday Weekend

Happy Memorial Day and Monday Everyone! it's a mostly sunny day here today with decent temperatures. It's the last day of our holiday weekend and we lucked out weather-wise.
My grandson got back from his school trip to Germany last night. This morning he had to be at the school bright and early to be ready to march in the Memorial Day parade. Good thing he has boundless energy.
So far it's a quiet day in the neighborhood.
Quite a few barbecues over the weekend and although we took advantage of grilling we didn't have any company nor any big celebrations. It was nice to just enjoy the long weekend without any obligations.
Last night we did chicken on the barbecue and tonight we're just doing the good old can't go wrong with burgers. Sides will be corn on the cob and watermelon. I'm trying to decide if I want to make potato salad or not.
Since it's so nice out I'm going to sit outside and read my book for awhile. I'm looking forward to a nice relaxing day.

I wanted to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful weather but the bees are annoying. Had to come back inside

It's nice when it rains and waters the garden. We don't have any rain in the forecast until maybe next weekend. I have to go out and water my few plants that I have on the deck. Glad you had a relaxing Monday

Nothing going on at my house. It has rained during the nights but nothing major. Just enough to keep the humidity high.
I'm glad your grandson made it home safely and am sure he has lots of stories about his trip to share with you.

I'm looking forward to hearing all about his trip and seeing the pictures and videos he took. Tomorrow he's back in school so it probably won't be until the weekend that I get to see him.

We had a very quiet weekend. Couldn't do much because of hubby's back. It's been very dry here; and we could use some rain.

I love corn on the cob especially when it's roasted on the barbecue but I do have to take the corn off the cob to eat it. So basically it's corn off the cob

I'm glad it's a quiet day in your neighborhood. It sounds like a wonderful holiday weekend. It's good the younger generation has boundless energy. You and I would be wiped out after a flight from anywhere. I hope the parade was good.
Your barbecues sound good. Did you make potato salad?
It's quiet and relaxing here. I'm going to opt for television time as soon as I finish the notifications.

I really miss my younger days when I could go go go without getting tired.
No I didn't make the potato salad. My daughter doesn't eat it and I didn't want to just make it for myself. We just stuck with the burgers and corn on the cob.

I am working today.
It is a nice warm day today, so I have the patio door open.
Someone in the area is cutting their lawn, so I am getting stuffed up, I hope that they finish and nobody else starts up.
That grandson must be pretty special, he left on his trip right after prom with little sleep and doing the parade today without much sleep.
