The Prime Minister of Denmark surprised every one when she declared that the speech she gave was written by ChatGPT and had she not opened up no one would have known this. Writing is being taken over by ChatGPT and it is disturbing what will happen to writers and authors. Those who do not use this mode will have tough competition and no doubt they will lag behind. Will you use the ChatGPT for your writings where it is allowed? The following link has more details on the Denmark PM

Most if not all Govt. officials have their speeches written by speech writers anyway, so the only problem l see there, is that ChatGpt will be putting those speech writers out of work.

I think she’s concerned about the far reaching repercussions. If a world leader could fool the world on a simple speech, what else could someone do with it?

Politicians never wrote their speeches, they had professionals writing for them. ChatGPT has been banned in Italy and Switzerland and I am glad of this. Too much AI is not at all good.

Then those who were writing those speeches will be deprived of this opportunity We have to wait and see what effect AI will have on all of us as days go by

@allknowing There is already so much ignorance, this will increase if many will stop using their brain and count on the AI.

@allknowing The same sign should be placed on the smartphones. Something like "smartphones make you dumb".

I am so sick of this crap. I hope she had shown people the power we have given these things to do now. I would never use it. But plenty of people will use it to cheat, for sure.

I find it very disturbing. All the beautiful things like language, art etc that human civilization has achieved will loose it's value. I am not at all a fan of AI for these day to day things. And then we would cry for unemployment in a hugely populated world. Robotics for surgery etc are some advancements that I would support, but not everything human should be taken over by them.

I feel for the future generation in that I wonder how they would live their life with no excitement of achieving in so many different fields as AI will devour everything.

So far I have tried to use Chatgpt for fun, but I haven't used it in real life yet. It is a very useful tool and the Prime Minister of Denmark is very updated to follow this new technology.

@allknowing I don't really think so. The new technology is supposed to make our lives better. Such as the cars replace the carriages, the phone replace the letter etc.

Those who write very good content do not have to worry about AI written matter. My son did show me how to write matters with Chat GPT but I was not too happy with the outcome.

@allknowing Am not sure if AI can generate original ideas. It only gives information that is fed into it and what it is able to search through other places. I don't think AI is able to give us the latest information. For that we still need humans and their brains.

That is just the beginning. Surely if the PM of Denmark could approve of her speech then surely there is something about this AI that one needs to worry about.

Why not? if it is allowed. But, as far as my knowledge, anti-plagiarism software called Turnitin which are being used in universities worldwide has made a breakthrough already by detecting AI generated content made by students.
