Do you think it's normal or what?
It's common here in Colombia that people drink coca-cola or local coke for breakfast. They drink coca-cola along with deep fried empanadas or arepa. Even in restaurant or cafe, they offer coca-cola for breakfast.
I found it weird. I don't use to have coca-cola in the morning.
But, really. Coca-cola in Latin American countries is big.

Better to have tea or coffee with it. Coke is full of chemicals

It's a cultural difference where consuming Coca-Cola for breakfast is common in Colombia and other Latin American countries. While it may seem strange to you, it's a normal part of their morning routine and reflects the popularity of Coca-Cola in the region.

but do the people of Columbia only drink the coke? What about solid food? In Calcutta people have poha or upma for breakfast

It's fascinating to see how different regions have their own distinct habits and preferences. Thanks for sharing this insight into Colombian breakfast culture.

Coca-cola isn't good for you and it's loaded down with sugar. Why in the world would any parent think it was OK to give it to a child for breakfast? I find that very strange, but hey, I know different places do things differently.

@Shasha_ Not to mention it's hard on the teeth. It just seems strange to drink it for breakfast, I've never heard of that before.

@MarieCoyle Yeah, I'm with you. I was shocked to see this phenomenon for the first time I had breakfast in this country.

I suppose that's a very sweet start to a day, in my country it normal just to have usual breakfast like cereal, or eggs and toast. But my country is quite diverse and different cultures tend to do things differently here. I guess a person culture has an influence on what you eat and when you eat. So I guess if it's normal to drink cola there and with be unusual to others
