I Had a Cup of Green Tea with a Little Honey

Usually, I like to drink my tea or coffee without any sweetening. Today, I added just a little bit of honey to a cup of green tea. It was very satisfying! I'm wondering if that's why my glucose level has been stable, all afternoon. I don't eat honey very often. Just once in a while, I will use it quite sparingly. My father was crazy about honey! I'm beginning to get hungry, so it's about time to fix myself some supper. Jay went to Saginaw, so I'm eating alone tonight, no big deal. I fixed some chicken earlier, it sure smells delicious! The few times I drink tea, I always put honey in it. I buy local honey because if it is local it is supposed to help you with your allergies.

@kobesbuddy That's what I make sure I buy. Our Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market has an aisle of Oklahoma made products, and honey is one of them.

Some of the honey in stores is mixed with table sugar. I'd rather have local honey, because it will be pure 100% honey.

I had a blueberry tea that I liked. Green tea is beneficial to my health, that's why I purchased it.

When I baked bread rolls all the time, we used honey on them often. I haven't used honey in anything in years... Pretty still uses it so there's still honey here, though. I hope you enjoy your chicken dinner. (I woke up about half an hour ago and turned on the air. The house is 85F... I just ate a cup of fresh cherries for a snack. Delicious!) Screenshot is mine.

Here we seldom will add honey to the tea as usually tea is hot. The honey will become a little bit sour when it is mixed with hot water. We like to drink honey with cold water.

I have noticed, the honey loses its delicious flavor in hot tea.

Being diabetic it is better not to have anything sweet. I also don't use sugar or honey in tea or coffee.

I love green tea. My favorite is the genmaicha tea. It's a combination of roasted brown rice and green tea leaves. Cheers!

Honey is actually good for you. Some nutritionists suggest we should consume it daily, even plain, one little spoonful. It's absolutely loaded with antioxidants. It is heart healthy and helps keep your arteries clean, and also helps fight cholesterol. Tea and honey is delicious.

I love honey but I don't like the commercialized honeys you see in the grocery store. I think they're not pure. I learned to enjoy honey when I was a kid because of my father. Indigenous people in my country would usually collect honeys and then they'd go to town to sell them. It was quite rare and the honey is so pure. My father and I would enjoy a spoonful every morning.

The honey in stores has table sugar added in. That's why it tastes different. My father used to make maple syrup, it was amazing!

Honey is supposed to be really good for you but if you're diabetic then I guess only small amounts would be acceptable.

Occasionally, I do enjoy a small portion of honey. If something triggers my glucose too high, I avoid it.
