Social distancing

Hopefully social distancing is now a thing of the past and we can now mix and mingle as before. Pandemic seems to have ebbed quite a bit although not totally gone.
Social distancing I found to be something not natural when it came to human beings and it was truly an effort to follow protocol.
It was interesting to see our cats doing it lying on the carpet keeping a safe distance from each other.
Do you still follow the pandemic protocol?

That's right, social distancing is no longer enforced in my country. because the covid cases are decreasing lately. But, anyway I have been used to wearing a mask during covid, and still wear it until now. Even though it has decreased, but we still have to be vigilant. hope you are always healthy.

@allknowing That's good. After all, wearing a mask is also good for our health because when driving, of course there is a lot of dirty vehicle fumes. And wearing a mask keeps us from inhaling the smoke.

The cats are making it known to each other they need their space. I don't really social distance. I do have one friend who I don't hug unless I have a mask on. She wears a mask everywhere she goes, and she doesn't care if I wear one unless I'm going to hug her. Anybody she hugs, she asks to wear a mask. She's very paranoid. I think she'd admire the judgment of your cats!

@allknowing I guess everyone takes their own amount of time to move past the effects of the pandemic. It can't do any harm to be extra careful.

The day I visited my friends and family everyone wanted to hug me but I stayed away. I have become paranoid. I still keep parcels that I receive for a couple of days before I open them.

@allknowing It costs nothing to wear a mask when I go shopping and to keep a certain distance from the others.

They are independent creatures but in this case I am not sure if they were following protocol or feeling hot cooling themselves under the fan (lol)

Certainly! As the pandemic subsides, it is expected that social distancing measures will gradually become less necessary, allowing people to interact more freely. It can be interesting to observe how even animals, like cats, instinctively maintain distance from each other.
