Almost every adult has a cell phone

In my locality, every adult owns a cell phone. I haven't seen an adult without a cell phone so far. I noticed even older kids have one. Also, even the elderly have their cell phones attached to their bodies like a necklace. I guess they need it more because of their old age; to call someone during emergencies, to listen to news updates, to know the time, to shoot pictures and videos, and to monitor their health. There are dozens of vital things a cell phone could do.
Do you have a cell phone? I would assume you have. If you're one of those rare species without one, I wonder why you don't have one.
Now, if you are to choose something to lose from your belongings, between your house keys and your cell phone which one would you prefer to lose?
I would like to find out if my hunch is true.

Pretty much everyone I know has ONLY a cell phone, not a house phone at all anymore. And it's amazing how many little kids have a phone as well. At first I was completely against that, but with all the violence and stuff happening all the time, I think if I had a small child still, they would have one. It's just one more thing to hopefully keep them safe or to call for help if needed.

@MarieCoyle My gosh, that's a terrifying experience. I hope she grows sans the trauma or PTSD. It's good she had a cell phone to call 911.

They said on the news she was a huge help. She was like 8 or 9, I can't recall. But somehow she kept herself together. I hope she will be OK after all of that. It truly tore me up.

I have a cellphone and I have a smartphone. The cellphone is in case of emergency calls, the smarpthone does not even has a SIM card inside, I only use it to take photos. I have my computer for the news no need to use a small phone with a poor audio.
I would surely prefer to lose my smartphone than my house keys. There is nothing stored, I buy another.

I believe smartphones or cellphones have taken over the world. I believe alot of people do have cellphones and alot of people would chose their phone over the keys even though it's not the right decision. I personally can't survive an hour without looking at my phone which may sound bad I guess.

Between my house keys or my cell phone? I'd rather lose my cell phone. My house keys include my apartment key, mailbox key, and car key. I definitely would prefer to be able to access my home and car. At least then in my apartment I can get online, and communicate that way.

Well house keys can be easily replaced, cellphones more of a hassle so I would say housekeys..

I could not pick one to lose. Around here, it would be deadly to lose any of those.

You mean a touch smart phone. Well, it's a necessity now a days.
Another thing that has been compulsary to me is the wearing of mask.

I have a basic flip phone with a camera. I'd rather lose my phone than my house keys.
