Job or dreams

Things are becoming difficult lately for me, I'm unsure what to do. I'm currently working doing an office job , which I'm not to happy being in. My countries economy isn't getting better and I'm finding it difficult getting by. I always enjoyed writing stories, but there isn't any solid platform here to show it. I'm in my 30's so I'm currently stuck with decision between my job and my dreams. Are you currently doing what you always dreamt of doing as a career?

Very few people could do what they dreamed to do. I am retired now, but I could not follow my dreams when young.

@Kanji121 You are still young, I hope you can still do what you would like to do in life.

That's sad I guess. It's like I'm feeling that I do get you point in life and retire , I will have many regrets about the decision I made. I feel like I still have a chance to change things, but it's not gonna be easy too.

Like most people, I didn't know what I wanted to do when I grew up... I worked from 13 years old until I was 58 and was then forced to retire... I always enjoyed the jobs I did, though. They all paid the bills for my family. Just keep doing what you can and things will work out for you, too.

We rarely get what we want. I wanted to become a doctor but ended up becoming a teacher.

As a kid, when someone asked me what would I be, I'd answer "a doctor". On the other time, I'd answer "fruits seller". I didn't know exactly what job I would be. But then, I entered college which my parents wanted. It then led me to the place where I'm working now. It doesn't seem that it's my dream job. But so far, I'm doing it happily.

I believe I am happy and content doing what I want. I'm so sorry that you're not and hope that you'll find something that really makes you happy and content.

I worked in the government for 6 years, I endured evert judgment of my former co workers. I decided to quit my job and do whatever makes me happy. Now, I'm living my dream job to a fulltime housewife and a business owner. For me it's for you to decide if you want to pursue your dreams, if you are not happy in your current job then think about it. God bless you!

I don't know what my dream job is, I only know what I can do. Although I don't like work, I have to work in order to survive
