I am sure there is nobody that does not like to save money because we all know how much money is important for us and for our survival and we know $1 saved means $1 earned so this is why we should always keep on learning the art of savings and for that can check the Web or ask our friends for suggestions and that's how we can achieve success.
I sometimes try to keep my fan or Air conditioner off if the weather is not so hot and also keep extra lights off when I don't require these and have always made sure to switch off lights and fan when I am to go outside even for 5-10 mins.

Avoid outside food and rather learn to cook it yourself. Saves money and is healthy when cooked at home.

This is the best tip because these days almost everyone is into fast food or order food from outside

I cook my own food instead of going to restaurants. And I save in electricity by using clothes according to season.

@Butterfingers Usually I would spend the money of supermarket for 5 days in what I would spend on a single plate of something at a restaurant.

Like you, we do not use too much a/c. We have one in each bed room, and I turned it on for my daughter when she visited because the room was stuffy. We turn out lights, cook at home, use up leftovers. In the winter instead of lots of heat in the house we use heated blankets and save on natural gas. We do not drive for unnecessary trips. For instance next Friday I have four medical appointments in Marion, the town where I work. It is about twelve miles. I will stay in town all day and pack a breakfast and lunch because I have to go early for a fasting blood draw, but I will need to eat. Much cheaper to take food from home.

Like Heather, I pretty much do what all she does as well. If I have to be gone and know I will get hungry, I usually take a protein bar or a sandwich or a piece of fruit. Eating out is so very expensive now. I hang up a lot of laundry to dry on a drying rack, rather than always rely on using the dryer. We cook from scratch and do not purchase convenience meals. We eat leftovers. We try to combine errands so to avoid unnecessary trips. There's more but that's a lot. I appreciate your post, it gives us ideas on how to save.

I'm really terrible at being frugal. But these days I try to be by talking advantage of discounted items or using vouchers when ordering food deliveries.

We do many things to save a bit here and there. Dressing lightly while in the house during warm weather means keeping the a/c off or at a higher setting. Vice versa in the winter. Keeping off lights when possible. Using LED lighting.
Also, when buying groceries, we buy store brand when it is as good as or nearly as good as the name brand.
Now that I'm home, we no longer need a pet sitter to come by the house. That will save us quite a bit.
Being retired also means not driving to work, which saves on gas and vehicle maintenance.

We try to conserve water and electricity in the household. We also cook our own food and eat leftovers as much as possible.
When I was still single and living by myself, I would eat only twice a day and choose to walk to nearby destination on good weather. I also avoided eating at fancy restaurants or buying stuff I don't really need.

I guess I'm a very cheap person, because I tend not spend on things I can't afford, but also I generally but cheap alternatives instead of branded items. It kinda work's and to be honest with the economy right now being so low, I got to be more frugal with how spend

If I’m shopping online, I used to go through Rakuten if they carried my store, for cash back. I could get anywhere between 2% to 7% back from whatever I had just spent from an online store. In the winter, I turn my fridge temp down because I don’t need it to be as cold, and it saves electricity. When there is about ten minutes left for something to be cooked in the oven, I turn it off, saving money by letting the residual heat finish cooking what is still inside. And like you, if my lights aren’t being used, and mine aren’t until nighttime, they stay off or unplugged. I also keep my microwave unplugged unless it is in use. And finally, regarding laundry, washing everything in cold water saves money, and will never harm your clothes either.
