How many jobs have you had over your lifetime?

I was just asked that not long ago, and really had no idea. I said 15 but it is probably closer to 20..quite possibly more. I did not count being a mom or jobs that weren't paid. Many of them were short term though..or just kind of intermittent. What about you? Have you had many jobs or just a few?

No temporary part time, or fruit picking jobs before that, or jobs when you were a teen?

That is a great question. I was placed on disability pretty early in life, but counting them all, I have had five jobs.

I bet my count is higher than 20, but I haven't tried counting them all before. Was the disability due to your accident? You don't have to answer if you don't wish to, it i a bit personal.

@snowy22315 The progression of the damage from the car accident is listed as the main reason, and from what my lawyer said when they finally talked to an expert, he was the lynchpin. And while my chronic migraines and fibromyalgia are awful, the government doesn't look at those as reasons for disability, although that could have changed since my case was resolved, and I really hope it has.

@AmbiePam I bet the accident was the catalyst for the migraines. Sorry for all your troubles. It can't be easy.

I could say two leaving those where I spent just a month or two. The last one is where I worked the most 22 years.

Tons, I couldn't begin to count anymore Snowy. But I always found work, lucky for me. Yeah, I DID count on being a Mother, but not the way it happened and the horrible circumstances we were in my son and myself..it sure put me at a great disadvantage, but I am so grateful I had savvy to keep going.

Wow! Hey at least you got to experience different types of work and people. I mainly worked in office settings and most recently have gone to contract work on my own. I think I am pretty much at my fifth or sixth. The one that stands out was a really short term of working at a burger spot that sells breakfast and greek creations. It was fun to experience. I worked as a cashier and would clean out the tables. I did while in high school. I would be out late and then get to work on time before 8 am on the weekends. lol

I didn't count in the official total, but I once worked selling snacks at a lat a major golf tournament. Ha, there was no register we had to add up the cots in our headfff
