Do my friends know who is the father of fruits? Papaya is considered the father of fruits. That's a great choice, isn't it, guys? Fatherhood is a very tasty fruit. I think you all have tasted this fruit. My father grows a lot of fruits in my country and my village. So what is the status of father of fruits in your countries?

Do you know that Christopher Columbus called it “fruit of the angels”?
"Papaya” has nothing to do with “papa,” but there is that joke spread that say that it's father of the fruit because of PAPA. Of course it's only a joke. We have no mothers of fruits and fathers of fruits.

I do not know if we have a father of fruit in the UK, but as it is Father`s day today perhaps we should all go and buy a Papaya if we can find one.

Ah, I see. Papaya is the father of all fruits due to its word composition. My father has already planted numerous Papayas in our backyard. But he has uprooted many when they're grown enough to determine if it's a male Papaya. So far, only two are left here soon to bear fruit. At last, my father will taste the fruit of his labor.

I am not sure i have father of fruits in my country, Indonesia. But we have Durian, the king of fruits and Mangosteen, the Queen of fruits.
But why Papaya is considered the father of fruits?

@Nmmi670 you are right. that's what i mean, I thought there is other reasons, and just found out about the understanding why Papaya is considered the father of fruits. It just because a word of 'Papa' has 'Father' meaning.
