Normally at this time of year the mountainous regions of Alberta and British Columbia, Canada are under fire. Wildfires burning uncontrolled across the Northern interior Rockies. This year mother nature had a surprise in store. Snowfalls of a significant amount draping the foothills and interior mountains of Alberta. If you're planning a trip to Banff or Jasper this summer, bring your skis.

I don't believe there were any fires in this area...yet. But with a snowfall that significant you can be sure no fires will start.
