Nice outing to church

Dale and I went to a friend's church this morning. The people there are so kind. They cooked and brought meals for us several days in a row when I was really sick with chemo. Their compassion and Christ-like acts were so appreciated.
Afterwards we went to a local buffet, but it was expensive and not very good like it uses to be.
Stopped by Food Lion for a couple of things and I tell you what, bud, it just about did me in. I went straight to bed and slept for a couple of hours.
My legs are just so weak, but I've read this can be a side effect of chemo and radiation. I'm trying to increase my protein and a little exercise and see if that will help.

I'm so sorry the buffet was a disappointment. I'm glad you allow yourself to rest when you need it. I waited all day for us to get rain yesterday. Big storms entered western Ohio; but by the time they got to us, they broke up and went north. Sigh. Have a good week.

@LindaOHio I'm doing pretty well. The radiation treatments aren't bad at all. My biggest problem is just the fatigue and not being able to walk as much as I want.

Since I got cancer last December, I've been amazed at the kindness of so many people. My sister has only called me three times and I haven't heard from my brother at all, but people at a church we'd never even gone to cooked meals for us and other things. You just never know who will see you through life events.

It is hard to come back all at once. Your body has been seriously injured by the treatments. You will get stronger, but it will take time.I am glad you had a nice outing to church, though.

Just pace yourself, I am sure your strength will return eventually. How are you finding the radiation? Glad you got to commune with your church friends.

The radiation so far isn't bad at all. Certainly nothing compared to chemo.
