Maybe new recipes

I think hubby is going to use a sandwich recipe from his Scandinavian cookbook tomorrow. Only it calls for white bread and we plan to use rye.
Also, we may make Potatoes Lyonnaise. I had never heard of them before but hubby has had them and likes them. It is potatoes with onions and a creamy, herb filled sauce.
I am just plugging away at my studies.The house is falling apart. Oh well, at least we have yummy foods.
The cats are in and have been fed for the night. I am charging my phone before heading for bed. Nothing exciting here at all.
Hubby has found westerns on TV that came out in the 1930's. He is happy.

I was reading or watching something that was talking about Potatoes Lyonnaise not very long ago and thought they sound delicious... I can't remember where I heard about them from... Maybe here on myLot.

That is kind of funny. Someone I know who cooks on an industrial level of quantities mentioned making them and how good they were. I said something to Bob and he told me, "I had those in Newport, RI at so and so restaurant once". Definitely a foodie.

Actually, black and white. Not sure what channel. We have a smart TV and I thought it was Amazon, or Peacock cause we stream them, but he says it is something else that said "watch free"

The potato things sounds yummy. I think substituting rye for white bread is better and I like rye bread. Do the Westerns have John Waye in them? I like Westerns. So are they in black and white since they are from the 1930's? Good food helps what ails one I feel.

potatoes lyonnaise sounds good. i could probably have that with roast chicken. did you boil the potatoes or roast them?

Have not done it yet. Thinly sliced and cooked in a skillet, with carmelized onions and butter and herbs.
