Puget Sound is "an inlet of the Pacific Ocean on the coast of the state of Washington. It is linked to the ocean by the Strait of Juan de Fuca. Seattle is situated on its eastern shore." Love me some Google. Sometimes. Prounounce Puget with a long o- like you are going to the 'loo.' So that is me- in just over ten days I will ride the train north- heading through Seattle and past all the way north to Mount Vernon- think tulips and farmers fighting to keep their crop land, resisting the rise of parking lots and apartment houses. Once I get to Mount Vernon one of my sisters will pick me up and take me an hour West- toward Puget Sound. She lives in a mobile home over there- don't say "mobile home park" cause she is a bit touchy there. I will ride around with her, trying to get in some sweet beach walks and tree hugging. And yes, downtown shops and a nice sister lunch and goofing around. And taking pain pills. To do all this, we will board Peter kitten with our housekeeper while I am gone. Otherwise hubby would not be able to go out of the house, wondering if Peter was sneaking out and getting into trouble. Housekeeper has also agreed to help give Fred cat his heart medication. It takes a village for me to be able to walk out the door for an over night stay. It really does.
