Guest who wasted his time waiting for a virtual interview to happen, not once but twice? Me. So I passed the exam earlier for the CS post that I was applying for despite the debacle with my old keyboard. Of course I was happy. I got another email with instructions for a virtual interview. It was through Calendly. I've used Calendly before in my previous work and you get to set meetings and schedules on your own. The calendar would show the dates, you click on it and the available times would appear. I choose the earliest one available which was 4:30 in the afternoon. The interview will be done via MS Teams. 4:15pm, I already set up and by 4:20pm I was already logged in and on the bridge. Once the interviewer is available, the interviewer will 'invite' me to the virtual meeting room. 4:30pm came and went. 4:45 pm, I already logged out and emailed to the interviewer and mentioned that I was waiting but did not get the 'invite' for the meeting room. I went ahead and scheduled a new interview using Calendly. The next schedule was 7:00pm so I got that. I get a new email confirming the schedule of the interview and this time I do not only get a link, I also got the password to the interview room so I won't need to be 'invited' to join. There was also a new person who will conduct the interview, this person was the one who provided the password. Come 6:50, I logged in and after clicking the link, I was asked for the password, I promptly typed it in and I got in the interview room. So I patiently waited until 7:00pm. 7:00pm went by and again no sign of the person who will do the interview. By this time, I wanted to go bat-$h!t crazy again but since I don't want to damage my new keyboard, I kept my composure and just waited. By 7:15, I logged out of the room and wrote an email and basically said that I waited and got stood up for a second time. I seriously thought about scheduling a new interview for tomorrow since it is my rest day. Who knows? Third time's a charm right? Just decided against it. I respect my time more than they respect mine. Wasted. My. Time.
