@rebelann Rain can be a godsent, specially if there is a drought. Hail is never good.

Too much rain in a desert is not good, desert plants don't know what to do with too much rain plus it usually causes flooding.

@rebelann Heavy is good - even for a little while - we hardly ever get to experience "heavy" these days. But any bit of rain is welcomed and I'm glad you got some!! We're starting to get to triple digits . . . no rain for us.

We've been under a severe heat warning for a couple weeks already, this week it's all triples but maybe next week it'll cool down to the 90s for a while.

Thanks. It actually lasted over an hour but came down hard and heavy for only about 30 minutes then became a normal rain. It's way too humid and it's hot so I'll have to suck it up and just deal with it, swamp coolers don't work well if it's over 20% humidity. It might rain again today as it's partly cloudy so hopefully it'll give us another hour of rain, I love rain.

Yes, lets celebrate ..... I will do a rain dance in 5 days, the ground here needs to dry some before more rain falls, it easily becomes flood conditions when we get too much rain. Yesterday was perfect.

I pray you will only get rain without hail.

Almost 2 hours. I was more of a drizzle the last 30 minutes but still it was rain to me.

@rebelann Oh lord, yes. I remember having a terrible dust storm once because we hadn't had rain in months, and the wind in Oklahoma is terrible. You could hardly see your hand in front of your face. Everyone was praying for rain. Like I said, I'd definitely be excited.

Ahh yes, I remember reading about some of those instances there. I can remember sand storms here that would blow like crazy all day long then slow a little at night only to pick up again the next day. I hate sand storms.

Thanks. Naw, didn't have a rain barrel and didn't really expect it to rain. In order for a rain barrel to be useful we'd have to get a whole lot more rain, this morning there was only about a half inch in any of the right side up pots outside.

Sometimes it pours here as well but when that happens we usually get floods. I am glad this was not a downpour.

That rain was perfect last night but it did not lower the heat by very much.

@rebelann It's been raining everyday for some time. But then we do get sunshine for few hours. It's mostly cloudy.

Oh how I wish you could. Those 2 days of rain didn't really help that much, we've had triple digits since mid June with the exception of one day that only went up to 99f.

I wouldn't want humidity here but I'd love me some rain. Doesn't the rain help cool things down a little?

@rebelann Here it is heat, humidity and rain , not necessarily in that order but pretty much every day.
