Brother has extreme anxiety today

Both his counseling session and his peer group meeting were cancelled. I understand things come up but these meetings are so important for these people suffering you would think they would never both cancel on the same day.
One has court and the other had a family crisis.
I try to get him refocused when he has bad anxiety by trying to get him to come outside and enjoy the warm weather, or to find a task for him to do as he likes to feel useful. It's sad I never thought I'd have to reassure my older brother everything is ok daily.

You are a good brother. It is good to give support where you can.

Sometimes things just happen and we have no control over them. I'm glad you're there for your brother.

@DaddyEvil atleast not at the same time, he looks forward to these meetings every week as they help him so much so really sucks when they are cancelled.

Yes I feel like they should atleast find a way to have a replacement hold the meetings there should be more people employed to help but there isn't, my brother has had two doctors/therapists leave while he's been there it's sad he gets so used to them then they leave. My guess there not paid enough and this isn't there main source of employment

Yes he used to love that, I don't know if you knew but we had to re-home his dog he got to scared because of the schizophrenia so he no longer went on his walks so the dog was not getting proper exercise and it wasn't good for the dog being in the house so often.... He does have his cats still though but of course he can't walk them. I occasionally can get him outside to help with lawn work but not as often as he should be outside during this beautiful weather

@chrissbergstrom Even going out in the yard, to play catch with a baseball. Get Tim's focus on something he enjoys doing. Or take a walk outdoors, to enjoy the beautiful things of nature. A bike ride is fun, also.

Is there a video or phone session he can be connected to to help him calm down until the next session?
