So, let me preface this by saying Nico is not a big climber and rarely climbs anywhere except for the top of his perch and a bunk bed he uses a ladder frame to scale. However, one night in the kitchen I hear some noise and something fell. Since I was almost asleep I didn't get up to investigate. Today I notice the succulent looking askew and not too well, it had been several traumatized, and was pulled out of the soil. I couldn't even find any roots. ONe guess who did it. It must have caught his eye. I didn't even know he knew it was there. Well, I save a piece that had been sprouting from a leaf and put it in some water. Maybe it will get some roots. Anybody else have any ideas how to rejuvenate it. I could plant the leaf with the little roots in soil I guess.

I really don’t have a green thumb. Hopefully you can get it to grow again.

I don't either...I have successfully grown tomatoes and lettuce as well as strawberries, but nothing recently has worked out very well. Spider and Snake plants are easy to grow too.I think I can't totally blame this failure on the cat.

Well, I don't see pawprints, but who else could have been crashing in the kitchen at 1 am? The gremlin who likes succulents?? The actual roots look in bad shape rotted. I may have over watered it a tad, although I tried not to. So maybe it was in ill health prior to the mauling..but it sure didn't help!

@snowy22315 Or a ghost maybe. Your case won't hold in court, maybe if there was some fur left behind....

I hope you can mend your poor plant. I’m taking a wild guess and thinking a big was probably on or by it and when he went for the bug with his hunting skills he knocked the plant down. Then investigated and killed the bug and the plant to be on the safe side .

You kind of expect that with a kitten but Nico is older.

I think NIco needs a lawyer! maybe gremlins did the damage to your succulent.

He says he wants one that will work for treats...he might share them under the right circumstances.

@snowy22315 I'll see if Judge Judy will represent him. Seems to me all your evidence is circumstantial

I'm on my 2nd plant on the kitchen sill that I'm trying to grow, but once in a while one of the cats would knock it out.

I didn't realize he knew it was there. He may have just discovered it.
