Hello guys,
Since rice was one of my first food to cook when I was 8, it was a simple dish that i could prepare and eat when I was a lone most of the time
Right now I actually know two method of preparing rice, One is just to put the ingredients into the cooking pot and add water then the rice, bring it into a boil then wait till the water dries off
the other method is to fry the rice, mostly people use onions tomatoes and oil, and if they can add some spices, then pour the rice, mix it well and the last step is to add water
I usually don't like fried rice, since today I'm eating rice for lunch well I chose the simple method
and adding some legumes , since rice is my favorite food, well how do you prepare your rice?

@grantward7 as long as it's within reasonable levels it's not a problem.

Rice is not our staple food, so we prepare the "risotto". We heat butter or oil, add some onion, add the rice turn for 2 minutes and then we add the ingredients we want to cook for our risotto. They can be mushrooms, asparagus, saffron, sweet peas.

We Indians from the eastern region take rice for lunch and some for dinner too. We just cook the grains in boiling water and strain the starch after its cooked. We cook it with pulses to make the Indian khicdi and make fried rice too.

We rarely have rice; but when we do, we add rice to the water and simmer until done. Enjoy your day.

I fry the rice with crushed garlic and the add the water. Yesterday I forgot to add the garlic and will have to eat it with something specially savoury because it will not be good alone.

I like eating quinoa and I had gotten some that you couldn't microwave so I got a small rice cooker.

We just normally cook the rice in water and when it's done, we eat it with other dishes. Sometimes, we turn leftover rice into fried rice or porridge. Just this morning I made some kimchi fried rice using leftover rice and sausage.
