This is Peppa. She's a miniature Vietnamese potbelly pig who lives in the neighborhood. I spotted her grazing on her owner's front lawn as I was out walking. My first time meeting her and I was surprised that this animal can be kept as pets...in the city. She's adorable, don't you think?

Her owners have a pen for her under their patio. Imagine rubbing that belly on christmas eve, waiting for santa.

That's what I thought too.
She's fully grown so won't get any bigger, except around the waist maybe.

My grandfather used to take me back to the farm when I was a child, and because of Charlotte's Web (1973 film), I loved seeing the pigs and piglets, but I can't see owning one in more populated areas. Still, to each is own (as they say). Some pig owners probably wouldn't like my cat, and that is fine by me. I'm sure Peppa is a wonderful pet for your neighbors and a joy for the rest of you to see.

They'd need a small pond or a swimming pool for a hippo.
