Hello have you heard of the latest Technology on cars, especially on the industry of taxi? Have you been driven by a computer to your destination? Well yesterday as I was watching the news I came across this latest invention of cars, well basically taxis, where if you want to travel to a place, you just open an app then set your destination and starting point and just wait A car with no driver inside will come to you and pick you up. Mostly this cars are electronic cars. You will arrive at your destination in not time. Now since self driven cars have come to the market and furthermore taken over the taxi industry, I am afraid , jobs will not be available for taxi drivers if this technology grows very fast.

I do not like the idea of this as I find it very scary. Something could go wrong and you could end up in the wrong place and what about people who are behind on technology and do not use this sort of app. Taxis are better with a human driver because you can have a chat to pass the time on the journey. Also, I wonder how any driverless car would cope in an emergency or if there was an accident or something. There is also the issue of jobs being lost in the taxi industry which would be unfair to the drivers who have worked in taxis all their working lives.

Me too I really don't like the idea because, of jobs, and also in times when a cop pulls over the vehicle

I don't trust a driverless car. There could be a miniscule problem with the computer system; and the taxi could crash. Enjoy your day.

Yes, I saw a story about this last year, and recently a woman shared a video about her experience with one. I don’t think a lot of people feel comfortable with this technology, so taxi and Uber drivers are probably safe for quite sometime. I think it will only take one accident to also scare the ones who are in favor of it. However, it is alarming, you are right, that the possibility of these jobs being lost are around.

I like the advanced technology. Actually there is a zone in my city to test this kind of cars. It is very interesting as at that time I was driving there but there were auto driven cars behind of me. As to the job, try to imagine long time ago the cars replaced the carriages etc. People have to adjust to it and learn new skills.

There will always be someone who will try out new technology, but more people will trust a driver behind the wheel than a driverless car. I think the taxi industry is safe.

Really so, it's just a division, those who like a driverless car and those who prefer a taxi
