I guess COVID is still here...

Me, personally, haven't thought about Covid at all this year....until I got it 3 weeks ago. My first time too. So, when the pandemic hit I was living in China and I stayed there until September 2021. Then I travelled to Serbia to visit my family. I stayed there for 7 months.I visited 4 different countries in those 7 months and travelled a lot locally. In April 2022 I moved to Zambia. Mind you in all of that time, traveling and living in highly populated areas I never had Covid. Here in Zambia I live in a smaller place, not many people around, I usually contact with no more than 5 people each day all of them my neighbors and I got Covid here!!??? And it kicked my butt! I was down for 10 days straight with high fever, cough and nausea. The good thing is that I finally quit smoking! Yay me! Or should I say " Thank you Covid"....also weirdly I can't drink black coffee anymore I have to add a little bit of milk. Still on the mend but getting there slowly day by day.Hope everyone is well!

I do think that Covid 19 is still lurking around. But, it is not that serious during the peak soon of the pandemic. In Japan, the local survey was conducted and claimed that it would receive at least 10 million visitors for the year 2023.

Here in Zambia they stopped talking about it. Masks are still mandatory in hospitals and clinics but that's about it. And then in June there was a new wave but they caught it late most people din't get tested because it's the cold season here now so everyone thought it was just a bad flu going around. It's getting better now but still people were surprised as was I .

Hope you get completely better soon! We have not gotten it yet. Even though the world around us has stopped taking any precautions, we still do. A family we know returned from Hawaii . . . they were fine on the trip, but sat next to a very sick passenger on the plane home. Sure enough the family got Covid . . . and this was about a couple weeks ago. Covid is indeed still around.

@Greencindere You're kidding? That's so crazy that the hospital didn't test you . . . they of all places should know better!

thank you! Yes I was sick for about 9 days went to the hospital twice wasn't tested, Covid wasn't mentioned at all until I tested myself so it's crazy how it is forgotten by the relevant institutions.

My mother thinks she had covid last month. She had high fevers, throwing up, etc. Thank goodness I didn't catch it. She did get better a few days later.
