AI Books.

Perhaps they could be called AS books. S as in stupid or perhaps something else.
Someone was recommending some books on Norse Mythology on one of my Facebook groups. When I investigated there were about four similar sets of five books written by "authors" claiming to be academics - except no-one could find any of them listed anywhere at any university or having authored any papers. The only place they were listed was with the on-line book seller.
The on-line book seller (you know the one) has those "sneak peek" pages. So, of course I snuck one. What I found was gibberish. Seriously, it had obviously been culled from either web pages and/or numerous other books, perhaps of dubious quality themselves, and re-worded to disguise the plagiarism. Whatever AI they were using did not understand context and the result was indecipherable.
On the surface such books (there's seemingly an endless supply covering many cultures) look like good value but in truth they're useless and are actually disruptive when people are trying to learn because they are confusing and sometimes just plain wrong.
Have you seen any of these AI generated books? What do you think about them?

Oh, it's not just e-books. They actually print this rubbish as well!

No, I haven't seen any of the AI generated books. I knew they're out there but I already have favorite authors and am hundreds of books behind in just reading from what they've written.
I am sure one of these days I'll get an AI generated book because it sounds interesting to me. By that time, I hope they're writing better ones than they are now.

Wow, besides many hoaxes, we also got some rubbish books.
There are too many things created (articles, books, videos, movies, etc.), and we must be selective about which one to consume.
How exhausting and unproductive it is to waste more time.
