What You Can’t Find

Is there something you never can find when you discover you have a need for it? For me, it’s shoes. When I need to buy a pair of new shoes, I usually have a hard time. I’m tall, so my feet aren’t a size 5 or anything. If I manage to find shoes my size, too often they are ugly. The store I used to buy from went out of business during Covid, but luckily I recently found a place online that had close to my size (no half sizes unfortunately), and they will do just fine.
Do you guys have an example of that? When you have to go get something in particular, you always just have a hard time getting it or finding the right one?

@AmbiePam I do have one shoe type that I’ve been wearing for about 20 years. I’ve bought it in several colors, but variety is nice.

Reptile hides.
It's really weird, because it's such a crucial part of a proper reptile habitat... and in a lot of cases you need multiple hides for one critter! But no. It's hard to find good ones, and when you do it's hard to find them consistently available, and then there's the hassle of actually being able to have them arrive intact when they're shipped...
Yeah, I'm at the point where I'm just making my own these days.

The big three- car keys, cell phone, and wallet. Fortunately, they always appear as mysteriously as they get misplaced. Phew!

That would be rough to have trouble finding shoes! Not sure what it would be for me. Maybe clothes since I have a weird shaped body lol

For me it is usually a certain color or style to go with a certain outfit or other.

I actually have a hard time finding shoes at size 5 (actually it's more like a 4). If I see a shoe I like (especially if it's on sale), most likely my size is all gone. I can sometimes go into kids sizes (I'm a boys' 3 with sneakers), but for fancier shoes, girls shoes styles don't cut it plus they don't last.
I'd have to say it's hard to get/find the right furniture pieces and household appliances!

I have had trouble in the past looking for the remote for the streaming channels and one of the two remotes for the cable television set.
in the case of the streaming remote, the remote was inside my medicine bag and in the case of the remote for the cable television it was in the clothes basket inside of my bedroom.

For me, shoes are a struggle at times. But ever since I discovered Sketchers, I finally found some that really fit and feel good.
Another struggle is jeans/pants/slacks, whatever people want to call them. I am not tall--5ft 3ish...and my legs are short. I prefer the boot cut legs. Everyone wants to push the skin tight pants, and I really do not like those. I don't want them baggy, but not so tight. So, I do a lot of looking and trying on before buying any.

I have big feet, and so little stock is kept in stores since covid to try on a pair to make sure that the fit is correct.
I have a very hard time buying shoes.
Shoes, and leather winter gloves.
They do not seem to carry those in stock as much either.
And gloves truly need to be tried on also.

It's the cushion foundation I love which was never replenished at the beauty shop. Brand is faceshop. Since pandemic the shops here did not have these items anymore.
