Do you think toxic people have an attitude problem?

We are surrounded by different kinds of personalities, but what we dislike most are people showing toxic manners despite we're good to them. They always have long faces and look unhappy but when you call them they just look at us with fierce looks a body language showing anger at the person.
It happened to me in the faculty office weeks ago and felt so embarrassed. I greeted my boss with a happy and smiling face only to receive no response even a single sound or nodding of the head. My colleagues understood my feeling and they called me and greeted me happily. My colleagues are also afraid of her. She is not friendly and smiling. She seems always mad and nosy. But last week she was hospitalized and operated on " Thyroidectomy ". There were only a few teachers visiting her including me, but I already forgave her. I do not know her problems in life.
She announced in our group chat she will no longer be our boss and all were shocked but pleased with the news, lol. What can you say about toxic people?

I distance myself from toxic people including certain family members. People who enjoy misery and are intent to try and draw me into it are in for a surprise. Facebook is turning into a social pity party with gaslighting memes and status'. I have deleted half of my friends because of it.

Toxic people are horrible. Very self-serving and weird in their thinking. I'd stay away from this person. And this person was a boss? Ugh! I guess this type of person is more apt to be put in such a position because they are forceful and enterprising. These types may have a back story but it still gives them no right to be so toxic.

@celticeagle , very well said my friend, that is during the gathering she is not present. She might feel insecure because even her subordinates do not stay near her. She seems an introvert. I am an extrovert and I have many friends in the office and in the entire university, especially students. But we tried our very best to lease her, but she is indeed indifferent.

I'm assuming all knew her to be toxic before her hospitalization. Too bad the procedure could not take out her toxic personality . But well, for whatever reason she is like this, it is really a shame she projects this attitude towards everyone. This toxicity was probably not good for her own health as well.

@cacay1 I don't know why some people have to be like that. I think when some people are in a boss/managerial position, they feel like they have to be so serious all the time, as if they need to look like they're in command all the time.

The world is full of different types of personalities, and we can learn something from each type, as long as we stay within our own self, and do not get tempted to respond unnaturally towards them too.
Personality type does affect attitude, so I would say she has an attitude problem too.
How does one best deal with toxic people in one's life?
Every person around you has their own life to lead, but when it affects you negatively, it is because you are not living enough from the power of love to overcome all incoming stressors in your life.
Love absorbs all, and then never throws it back.
Just allow the toxic person to be who they are being, and you be yourself too, and hope that you and others, staying nice, will eventually rub off on them too.

I am glad you will no longer be exposed to that kind of behavior. Sadly, there are toxic people everywhere, even on Mylot. The important thing is to remember, them being toxic has nothing to do with you. They were toxic before you, and they will be toxic after. The misery they carry around eats at their soul, and eventually no one wants to be around them. They’d probably laugh it off if you said they were miserable, but you can tell by what comes out of their mouth that it is true. Happy people don’t spread toxicity.

I don't know her personally so I can't say that she was toxic. Some people just don't know how to express themselves emotionally, and that doesn't make them toxic. She might have personal stuff that make her the way she is.

@DWDavis, that's the order from her medic to avoid taking so long sitting. There is part of her back affected because of her previous sickness. I stated it in my post. We know well she's our program head at the university where I'm teaching.
