Update on the Jon Benet Ramsey Case

After all these years there is a update in the murder of Jon Benet Ramsey. It seems that a man named Gary Oliva had called a friend soon after the murder and told him "I've just hurt a little girl." This was reported twice to Boulder police and nothing was done. I think they thought it was the mother or father and they weren't looking past that. This guy then confessed in 12 letters written to this same friend of Oliva. He had been picking up personal mail close to the Ramsey home. He was found with pictures of Jon Benet and a stun gun. The police don't even look into him until 3 years after the murder. This Boulder police really need to be looked into. Oliva is a convicted pedophile. Ghee! I wonder. I'm so tired of not hearing that this(and a few others) haven't been solved. Is the police not doing their jobs or is this and others really that hard to figure out?

Police tend to zoom in on one person and a lot of time the real perp goes free.

Well I hope the police finally get it all figured out and get this case solved. I can tell you though that I have always thought it was idiotic for the parents to let the child look like a beauty queen and if she was let alone and could grow up like any child she might me alive today,

@RasmaSandra ..........Yes, I agree. I wonder if it wasn't her mom making her do it. If she wanted to that would be different.

I remember this case, the young girl, the police thought it was the father. Shame on them not to investigate the pedophile.

@LadyDuck ........I think I just watched a video about her disappearance. Police Investigation 101 is that they have to eliminate the closest to the victim and then work their way out.

@celticeagle - I agree. There has been a similar case in Europe (a young British girl disappeared in Portugal during the summer holidays). The police immediately suspected the parents. Now they know it was a German pedophile.

They thought the dad did it and zoomed in on him.

There were many who "confessed" to this crime. I wish they could resolve it. The little girl needs peace.

Everything seemed to go wrong in that case. They tried to pin it on her brother but that didn’t work.

@celticeagle I thought the whole thing was bizarre. The investigators seemed to focus on the family.

My best friend and I thought the brother did it. This article I'm reading makes me think Gary didn't do it.

I don't think any of the family did it. There was a very good doc on a couple of years ago that went over in detail all of the suspects.
