Do You Like Mexican Food?

I am a relative virgin when it comes to Mexican food. I have only consumed it two or three times in my life. Once I had a frozen burrito; and two other times I had a chicken dinner with Mexican seasoning, black beans and pico de gallo.
How about you? Do you enjoy a Taco Tuesday or go to a Mexican restaurant on a regular basis? I know a couple of you that do! Tacos, burritos, enchiladas, tostadas...What is your favorite? Have you actually been to Mexico and had Mexican street food? I know one of you that has!
I would want something with chicken, no onions and not too spicy.
Let's share our Mexican food experiences.

If I could find something with chicken, no onions and not too spicy, I would be in.

@LindaOHio Home made is good, store bought not at all. I had good guacamole in some Mexican restaurants in San Diego and in Arizona, near the border with Mexico.

I went to Mexico but only stayed for a couple of hours and didn't eat anything while I was there. I was picking up a friend I went to school with and brought him back to the US. (Yes, he is a US citizen.)
My first wife would ONLY eat Mexican food while she was pregnant with Pretty. I couldn't eat it for years after that. I will eat a burrito or tostada once in a while now.

Mexican food and I don't like each other. It's a totally mutual feeling. I've had it twice that I know of. My boyfriend was the recipient of the burrito on my first experience with it, and out of courtesy, I had a taco. I made certain it wasn't spicy.

We love Mexican food! Living where we do, there is Mexican influence everywhere, so there are many restaurants we can go to. But, a lot of it we can cook ourselves at home. I literally love any of it - I love spicy but unfortunately cannot handle it as well these days.

@much2say I wish I could. I loved the west coast except for the traffic in LA.

No! (Shoving chicken taco salad in my mouth)
What makes you think I like Mexican food???? (Drinking salsa through a straw)
I like what we call “Mexican,” and I’ve also had chicken mole, which was simply outstanding.

@LindaOHio — it can have chocolate in it. And it’s very delicious when it does!

@LindaOHio Mexican food has become so popular but I've never had any and there are no Mexican restaurants nearby. I don't know if I'm missing anything but I'm not terribly fond of very spicy food.

I love Mexican food but it doesn't love me. Since having my gallbladder removed I can't tolerate extremely spicy food like I used to. Not even cinnamon, ginger, pepper, cloves or nutmeg. To much of it and I am in agony for 3 days. I do enjoy a good plate of nachos with very mild salsa occasionally.

I hope I never have to have my gallbladder removed! I'm sorry yours is gone. It changes how and what you can eat.

We are surrounded by nurseries and have a lot of Mexicans here. I'm not sure how many Mexican restaurants we have plus a Taco Bell.

Mexican food is my second favorite ethnic cuisine next to Chinese. We eat it often. But I am like you on the spicy thing. I don't like spicy. Usually if we go out for Mexican I'll get a combination plate complete with spanish rice and refried beans. Love it.
