If Brains Were Dynamite...

For those of you not acquainted with the UK we have a protest group calling themselves Just Stop Oil who, as the name suggests, are trying to get us all to stop using oil and other fossil fuels. Their usual modus operandi in the UK is to spread themselves out over a road and walk very slowly therefore disrupting the traffic and preventing people from getting to work, hospital appointments etc. Obstructing the King's Highway is actually a criminal offence in the UK but the police seem more concerned with making sure nobody hassles the protestors rather than doing their job and clearing the road. There is a school of thought these people are actually being paid by shadowy figures affiliated with the World Economic Forum who appear to be hell-bent on driving us back to living in caves and eating bugs in the name of climate change while they dine on foie-gras and steak after being flown-in on private jets. I recently saw a video which seemed to suggest that Just Stop Oil's MO had changed slightly. This group of protestors were trying to stop lorries, loaded with oil, from leaving a distribution depot while some right-on journalist was interviewing a somewhat bemused bystander. The reason for the bystander's bemusement became clear when he pointed out that the lorries in question were actually carrying cooking oil. Come on Mr Soros. You really need to pay more if you want to attract 'protestors' with brains.

There are many who believe it is he and his mates at the WEF who are behind all of this.

We also have those groups that are not called Just Stop Oil, but different names according their native language. They arrive to glue their hands on the asphalt to stop the traffic on the major highways. Do they think that stopping cars for hours really solve the world problems? Only brainless join those protestors.

If anything it causes cars to emit more pollutants and use more petrol while they're stuck in slow moving traffic.

@WorDazza Exactly, if the cars stop but people let the engine turn to have air conditioning inside, the cars pollute more than moving. Those people are plain stupid.

@LadyDuck It's not just protestors who have no brains. A lot of councils are closing roads in residential areas to create No Traffic Zones supposedly to reduce pollution. All it has done is push more traffic onto the surrounding roads causing traffic jams and stationary or slow moving traffic.

@WorDazza Just before your welcome return to these parts I wrote reporting that when I phoned to order heating oil my mind was elsewhere and I asked for 500 litres of cooking oil. Silence followed for a while, then titters.

I remember one video where a motorist backed up his auto in front of a protestor and roared the engine loudly to make the protestor ran away.

It's getting to the point in the UK where someone is going to get seriously injured or even die. Whether that's a protestor being attacked by angry members of the public or an ambulance carrying a seriously ill patient not being able to get past the protestors remains to be seen.

Many of them seem to be quite young and don't have any idea of the impact on society if they got their wishes. I saw an interview with two young environmentalists who thought that farming should be banned because of its impact on the environment. Clearly no brains at all.
