Got this notice in my email this morning:
"Meta’s news blockade is in full swing with users across Canada unable to post links to critical news stories from Canadian OR international sources. The blockade on news sharing has been extended even FURTHER than initially expected, blocking everything from wildfire evacuation updates from local news to satirical comedy sites."
I posted it to my page, but I don't know if it'll still be there when I go back to it later today. Or even if this post will stay up here. Something's wonky on the net. I got a notification that someone replied to a comment I made on someone else's post, but their reply isn't there.

News corporations like CBC, CTV and Global are posting their news links and live broadcasts on youtube. I've come across a few of them. Hopefully these corporations will come to their senses and fight this insane news ban.

The only way to effectively fight it is for everyone to not use fb at all.

The Canadian feds wanted to "protect" Canadian content on the internet so passed some laws but got it all wrong and F0kkerburg had a fit and decided to not let people link to Canadian news on his precious site. Or something like dat dere.

You didn't get paid here because you did not have $5 on the last day of July. As you correctly stated in THIS discussion, you will be paid next month.
Just noticed that I finally limped across the finish line... It only took me three months, but I will get paid when the time comes around next month. I've just...

I see you've resolved the payment issue.
About the news thing...I heard something a couple of years go about news outlets wanting to get paid from FB for using any of their content.
Just wondered if that's the issue.
I do use FB but just for personal contacts rather than news.
