Are you a happy or lonely type of person?

There are people despite lonely but their faces don't show it. In fact, I see their eyes smiling. My niece despite lonely but her eyes are sparkling that's why my sister feels irritated seeing her daughter lonely but smiling. I realized that my niece has smiling eyes. She has a lovely face with smiling eyes. How wonderful, but normally once we're sad we have a long face that makes us look ugly but we can't avoid it. I notice that those who are always happy look lovely. So let's force ourselves to be happy despite lonely to look lovely.. But there are many causes of loneliness like being betrayed , having no money or remain loveless. Can we still be happy? For me yes of course. What about you?

We create our own happiness. I have known many people who lived alone and were happy.

I have moments of loneliness, but overall, I’m happy these days. I’ve had to fight for it, but sometimes people can’t help the unhappiness. While we can always try to find things to be thankful for, sometimes our circumstances, and brain chemistry keep us from being able to overcome the negative. When this happens for long periods of time, I would hope people have access to counseling or a doctor to treat them.

@AmbiePam , there are people like that and they need help, understanding, and love especially if the cause is too deep and hard to achieve happiness, but the mind can help convert the negative thoughts to positive ones.

I am alone but I'm very happy. I live a Stoic existence. I am not void of emotions, I am void of emotional reactions and outbursts. I know and love who I am outside of my relationships. I am not dependent upon other people or things for my happiness.

I need to learn this stoicism from you, and not have as many outbursts and arguments .

@db20747 I came into it quite naturally. I was practicing it without realizing it. All I knew was that I had to disengage my emotions if I was to save my sanity. You've heard the expression "Talk to the hand"? I incorporated it into my daily vocabulary and made long walks my calming mechanism. Putting that into practice brought me to a very calm center point within. Instead of engaging with the drama of others, I went off alone to get away from it.

I am sad when I have no money, when I am sick, and when I am betrayed by others. But my face is normal, so other people don't realize that I'm sad or angry. I have a face that is almost expressionless.

One's happiness depends upon their minds As you said because of facing some bitter situations happiness will not be revealed Inner beauty reflects in face Coming out of the betrayed , loveless atmosphere is tough.

@writerjo, yes so true, what we feel reflects to our face. We look lovely when we're happy but we have mixed feelings so we can't avoid loneliness to whatever the cause is, we need to face it squarely.

It isn’t possible to always be happy. Loved ones die and you never get over the loss, you can try putting on a happy face but it doesn’t work.

Yes. Happiness shouldn't depend on external things. We can still be happy if we don't have depression. I feel lonely, but people who criticize make me want to be alone.
