I did my laundry yesterday! Do you have tasks that you "put off"?

Laundry is one of those things that I often "will do tomorrow." And then tomorrow comes. And I say the same thing.
Yesterday, I worked on my KLH Model 21 radio restoration, checked in with my friends here (yes, I made it home from Montana), and then got a flurry of energy and did my laundry.
I even got to experience the pleasure of folding my laundry while it was still warm. Folding warm laundry is one of my "little joys"--simple things I try to savor while I am doing them.
Do you have tasks that you tend to put off? Do you have certain little joys--simple things that make you happy?

I only have so many pairs of gym shorts. When I run out, I have to do laundry. About once every two weeks, I wash clothes. I can't say I enjoy folding laundry and if you looked at our living room couch, you can tell that Pretty doesn't like folding clean clothes or clean towels, either.
(I fold and put away my clean clothes the day they're washed and dried. Pretty will use clean clothes straight from the pile on the couch.)

I only wear socks in the Winter... When I fold my gym shorts and put them away, the underwear is folded and put away in the drawer right above the gym shorts.

@DaddyEvil I mostly wear flip flops in the Summer. Except when I'm working at Guitar Center.

Once in 2 days I will start doing laundry
I have a Zebronic Rainbow Music System
I will connect it through bluetooth to my smart phone & switch on some songs
Hearing songs , making some food items , watching movies are the little things that makes me happy

I tend to put off a lot of things, but eventually will do them.

Changing my bedsheets. It’s a literal pain in my back and affects my breathing, so I don’t do it nearly as frequently as “they” say one should.

@TheHorse — remember that little ghost figure in The Family Circus, “Not Me”? “They” is probably “Not Me”’s brother.

@FourWalls I do! Working with littlies, I think of Not Me fairly often. Maybe I'll name my second child Not Me. Do you think I could convince MyLot newbies that I already have two children, They and Not Me?

I don’t mind doing laundry, but I hate to wash windows or iron.

Yes, I really don't like cleaning the bathtub and refrigerator. I wait until I have to clean them.

washing dishes by hand, my dishwasher is broke. The other hated chore is I have 8 males in my house, their feet are pretty much the same size. soooo I sit and sort socks, it takes a while. I do put their initials on them and try to buy different brands for each person but it still takes time.

I am glad I can put off anything I want to because it is just me here and the cats don't care as long as they're comfortable. I had not vacuumed in this hot weather and when I did a quick vacuuming the cats disappeared and did not come back until the vacuum was put away. Then whatever scents Freddie picked up I found him batting his head against the vacuum

I don't mind doing laundry but I hate having to dust. It just seems like an endless task especially now with the a/c on it's blowing dust into the house.

I can totally relate to the first line of your discussion. It can take weeks, if not months, before I get to it. Same with cleaning the house.

@lovebuglena I don't even know what dust really is.

@TheHorse Dusting is the worst. Especially when it comes back as soon as you dust. And then where does the dust come from and in large quantities? Could it be that the ducts need cleaning?

Okay, what is this? You made it through your entire post without a single 'that'. Then put two of them in the last paragraph. The first was unnecessary. The second is acceptable. It's needed to make the sentence complete. However, you violated the use of the word in the first sentence. Shame on you. (Hands on hips, shaking my head)
I'm glad you got home from Montana safely, worked on your KLH Model 21 radio restoration, checked in with your friends, and here too. Getting your laundry done and folded while it's still warm is one of life's little pleasures.

Most of the tasks I need to be done have to wait for our housekeeper. It's very frustrating because I wish I could do them myself. Cooking used to be what gave me joy. I miss it. Have a great day.
