There were many movies that were released or even web series or TV series that was released after so much hype created by its production team on different platforms but it's just a way to promote the movie and does not guarantee that it'll be a blockbuster and many times this unnecessary hype backfires and not many are interested in the movie.

Since a lot of movies have a lot of hype, they are selfdom good as the hype with the Jaws and Rocky Balboa franchises living up to hype.

Some of these movies are good and they are fine doing it but if there is nothing in the story that can make viewers interested, then they should not spend money unnecessarily on it

since I am so busy right now, I don't have much time to go to the movie theater, so I choose Netflix or Disney+ and Prime Video for the rescue

Sometimes it is amusing how much hype a company creates for it's new project. And we all know by the looks of it that it has no chance of making back the money spent.

Creating hype, especially for big movies, is a part of marketing strategy now. Some production houses create hype through loud publicity; some create hype by not disclosing any facts about the movie(ex upcoming movie Salaar) Nevertheless, the hype only works to bring audiences for three days to the theatre; after that, if the audience does not connect, they will simply reject the movie, as happened with Aadipurush. nowadays with big budget movies..so much is stake, that they need to create some sort of hype around the movie. And there are some upcoming movies like Pushpa 2, Dunki, Jawaan..where hype builds up naturally because of the curiosity that people have around those movies.

Natural curiosity is best but if they try to create a fake one like sallu did with KKBKKJ then you know what the result will be

I remember a movie previously that created a lot of hype and it was a flop movie

They have to do that so people will watch the movie. If the movie is not any good than that will get around fast to.

It's all part of a showbiz business and public understands it well. No matter how much is the hype, movies in most cases work only if they deliver entertainment. Sometimes negative publicity helps a mediocre or below mediocre film too, like it happened for Pathaan.
