How Do You Deal With Friends Who Have No Idea?

what they're talking about? There's a musician who actually admits she never watched the news until 2016, and she tries to be some expert now, having no idea of basic definitions. I will sometimes correct her in a way that's nice and whatever, despite me telling myself not to. She contributes vocals in my studio, a good singer, and besides being late, she does the job very well, but I just can't seem to allow stuff like "Chinese are buying all our land is Communist" slide when it's the very opposite. "Actually, it's free-enterprise, but I understand the sellers' point of view who has the freedom to sell to whoever they want". I probably do that to ease any differences, but will use 'freedom' to squash her argument regardless of what she says, usually, "All I know is life is getting harder and harder" but I'm never the one who brings current events up, local news, crime, etc.. And then things that are interesting -- I could say almost anything, and it's like I said nothing, and on to her 20-something year old kids who get catfished for the 7th time. I feel bad and hate seeing her cry but she's been a horrible example, but, she can sing, but when she starts ranting about black people, I get pretty uncomfortable and wish she'd stop ONLY mentioning bad drivers who are black.
