The Heat Wave Continues

Happy Thursday Everyone! another hot one here today. I feel bad for the guys who are mowing the lawn in this godawful heat. Actually I feel bad for anyone who has to work outside today (or this whole week). Looks like the weekend will bring rain and hopefully cool things off.
I got a voice mail this morning from our electric company about conserving power. I guess with this ongoing heat wave it's taking it's toll on the power grid. I won't give up my a/c but I will refrain from vacuuming, doing laundry and running the dishwasher. Giving up doing chores is such a sacrifice
I see on the news that some schools in surrounding areas are closing early due to the heat. The kids are being dismissed at a half day because the schools don't have air conditioning.
So, while the temperatures soar I'll be staying put and finding things to keep me busy.
I'm never bored and always have something to do.
How's the weather in your little corner of the myLot world?

We're in the high 90s and it's enough to take your breath away if you step outside.

Guess we still have that humidity because it's enough to take your breath away if you step outside.

@Marilynda1225 I know the feeling. I am in Florida and know that the humidity will be back soon. You can't do much outside when the humidity is high.

I'm definitely not going to go out except for letting the dog do a quick run outside. I think we probably have similar weather

Not too hot today. Temperature around 27C. The heat wave in your area sounds serious. What's the temperature?

They are saying some of our areas might be compromised over the summer if we have prolonged hot days.

They've been closing some of the schools here too. They never did that back in the 60s. We roasted in the classroom; and our heads were spinning from the heat. I hope you get some relief from the heat soon. Have a good day. P. S. The temperatures have decreased significantly here; and it will be **70** here today.

It is going back up the temps today so I join you in the heat.
Already had to clean the laundry room here, hips are hurting so no more for me today.
Have a good Thursday Marilyn.

Hot and humid. The grass at the church can wait to be mowed until next week. I may, or may not tackle ours here at home tomorrow.
