Final picnic for peaches.

If only Peaches had listened things would have turned out so differently, but she was always so headstrong and hadn’t much sense of danger. There was no telling her, she always took things too far, right to the edge, and this time there was no other way it was going to end. So after we managed to pick her wet, lifeless body from the river we wrapped her up in a pair of those ginormous pairs of granny-bloomers - I always carry an enormous candy-striped pair of them with me everywhere I go, not so much to use as a shroud for dead dogs, but in case I get lost and then I can use them as a tent to shelter in and escape the cold, night air. We had spades with us on the picnic which was handy since it meant we could dig a resting place without further ado, but Jimmy said Peaches would look ridiculous buried wrapped in granny bloomers and we all concurred so we gave her a naked funeral which is usually the best way. No fuss.

I am not sure I would come with you for a picnic. Poor Peaches, I agree that she would have looked weird in the granny bloomers.

@gilljame Oh my picnics are usually a riot of fun and frolics. This was one of the best. You should have seen Peahes looking stupid in the granny bloomers.
